DESCRIPTION OF ACCIDENT: Aircraft was hovering on training flight - tailboom contacted ground - helicopter landed hard.
DESCRIPTION OF DAMAGES:
Both main rotor blade tips bent; blades wrinkled Mast fairing impacted cabin roof & upper left fuel tank
Cabin roof skins torn aft & to the right of mast (inside mast fairing)
Uneven gapping on both cabin doors
Both lower cabin door opening frames bowed
Fuselage skins have wrinkles under door openings
Instrument pedestal cover cracked & separated from console; pedestal shifted to right side
Lower console buckled on side next to mixture control
Collective control binds when moved in cockpit (cyclic & pedals free)
Vertical firewall impacted forward upper main frame
Lower main frame horizontal tubes bowed
Aft upper frame gouged from contact with tail rotor driveshaft coupling
Fan shroud gouged from contact with pedal bellcrank
Tailboom separated at forward attachment; aft end of tailboom severed; stabilizers crushed.
Tail rotor blades severed near roots
Tail rotor gearbox case cracked at output shaft
Landing skids spread at rear Aft skid crosstube bowed
Left skid heel knocked off; cracked at front downtube attach point. Right skid may be twisted
Aircraft does not sit level on skids (up on left front & right rear)
Due to blade strikes, engine requires teardown & transmission requires inspection/overhaul

Policy/Agreement
You are advised that the described aircraft is for sale AS IS/WHERE IS. Emails and faxes will be accepted no later than 4:30 pm EST, Friday on October 31, 2014.. The successful bidder will be notified on the following Tuesday
and agrees to provide payment via wire transfer unless an alternate payment method is agreed to by Starr. Salvage will not be released until receipt of your wire transfer or other payment method as agreed to by Starr. All storage and handling
charges accrued prior to notification of high bid will be the responsibility of Starr and after that date will be the responsibility of the purchaser. Starr reserves the right to reject any or all bids.
Starr makes no expressed nor implied warranties for the condition, fitness for purpose, value, airworthiness or operation of performance of any kind whatsoever, whether in contract or tort in respect to the sale of any aircraft salvage. The buyer
acknowledges that they have had the opportunity to inspect and evaluate the aircraft before signing and forwarding their bid and purchasing same.
