DESCRIPTION OF ACCIDENT: After take off on 03/23/12, the aircraft drifted to the left, the left wing tip contacted five palm trees, the right wing then struck an aluminum picket
fence and a tree at which time the right wing came off the aircraft and the aircraft inverted. The left wing subsequently came off and the aircraft
came to rest partially over a swimming pool in the backyard of a home.
DESCRIPTION OF DAMAGES: The firewall and everything forward separated from fuselage. Propeller shaft sheared and all four blades severely bent. Engine is partially
disassembled from NTSB inspection. Fuselage numerous dents and scrapes on right side, left side and belly, under the rudder is twisted,
distorted, and dented. Both wing attach points are destroyed. Rudder top is bent. Vertical stab top is crushed and both side are dented.
Horizontal stabilizer is damaged. Left wing: leading edge is damaged, attach points destroyed, outboard wing is damaged from contact with trees,
and left flap and aileron are damaged. Right wing and flap significantly damaged from impact with tree. **PHOTOS**
LOCATION OF AIRCRAFT: The wreckage is at the Air and Sea Crash Recovery storage facility at Ft. Pierce, FL, 954-520-8798.
REMARKS: As noted above, the G1000 Garmin was taken by the NTSB and has not yet been returned. At such time it is returned, it will be provided to the successful bidder in
whatever condition it remains after the NTSB’s inspection.
