DESCRIPTION OF ACCIDENT: On 09/10/17, N9814W was tied on the ramp at the Miami Executive Airport (TMB), Miami, Florida. As Hurricane Irma passed, the wing and tail tie down ropes failed and N9814W was blown into two other aircraft.
e DESCRIPTION OF DAMAGES: See attached photos. Damage includes but may not be limited to the following: **PHOTOS**
· The left wing tip is crushed · The left aileron is torn and bent · The left flap is bent along the outer 6” · The left navigation light is crushed · The left wing has a 4” x 3” hole in the outboard upper skin. · The stabilator trim tabs on the left side are bent and wrinkled. · The left tip of the stabilator is crushed and split. · The entire rudder is damaged. · The vertical fin is damaged · The right landing gear strut is collapsed. · There was 1" of water in the seat pan of the rear passenger seat. · The avionics do not appear to have any moisture damage - NOT GUARANTEED · The overall aircraft paint is chalked and peeling (not related to the hurricane)
